Everything You Need to Know
-
Our first session is designed to be gentle, collaborative, and entirely unhurried. We will discuss what brings you in and what you hope to work toward, focusing primarily on establishing a secure therapeutic alliance rooted in emotional safety.
It is also a chance for us to determine if we are a good fit. We will touch on the evidence-based modalities I draw from so you can see if my style aligns with your needs and personal comfort. You set the pace, there is no expectation to delve into painful details right away.
-
You are always in control of what you share and the pace at which we move. Deep healing does not require reliving painful details before you feel ready and emotionally safe.
-
There is no set formula or fixed number of sessions you must commit to. Healing happens at your own pace, guided by your unique psychological plasticity—your mind's natural ability to adapt, process emotions, and create meaningful change.
Every journey is different, so we keep the process open, gentle, and centered on what feels right for you:
No lock-in packages: We do not believe in minimum session requirements or pre-paid bundles.
You decide as you go: At the end of each session, you decide whether and when you would like to meet again.
Gentle guidance: If you are ever unsure about your next steps or how to pace your sessions, we are always here to share our honest recommendations to help you make the best choice for yourself.
-
Yes, everything you share is strictly confidential. The only exceptions are when there is a clear and imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or where disclosure is legally required under Singapore law.
-
If having a loved one present helps you feel more comfortable during the initial consultation, they are welcome to join. However, to keep the focus entirely on your personal space, individual sessions are typically conducted one-on-one.
-

Yes, we do work with teenagers and youths.
If a young person feels safer or more at ease having a parent or caregiver present in the room, they are very welcome to attend. However, to ensure the therapeutic space remains truly safe and effective for the young person, we ask that parents or caregivers join in a supportive capacity only. Our focus, attention, and dialogue will remain centered entirely on the youth and their personal experience.

Sessions are available in English.

While the name Living Waters reflects a spirit of renewal and restoration, our therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based care. We respect and welcome individuals of all faiths, spiritual backgrounds, and secular perspectives. If faith is an important part of your life, we can integrate it into our work; otherwise, our sessions remain entirely secular.
